Screened granite stone dust (where available). This material is a by-product of the process by which crushed stone is made. It is a dust that collects as a result of the crushing. For use on bocce courts, it must be processed through a 1/8" screen to remove all pebbles. When this product is not available, a most suitable substitute is crushed limestone that has been similarly screened. Other commonly used substitutes include: Baseball (Warning Track) clay, screened brick dust, and screened sea shells.

Note: These specifications do not make allowances for heavy equipment requirements (Bulldozers, Graders, etc.). On selected sites where rough grading may be necessary, please consult your excavation contractor.
